FAQ

I am scared the extensions will cause my natural ones to fall out. Are they damaging to my natural lashes? How are they applied?

No! Not at all. The extensions grow out with your natural lashes and will fall out naturally with them. The lashes are applied one to one to your natural lashes. The eyelash stylist will separate one of your natural lashes, then apply glue to the extension and apply one extension to the natural lash, this process is repeated until every one of your natural lashes has an extension on it. Since the extensions are so light you will not feel them on your eyes. They are very comfortable to wear and are very low maintenance.

How long do the extensions last?

The lash extensions can last up to 6 weeks. However this depends on how well you take care of your lashes. Your natural lashes also play a big role on how long they will last. If you have naturally full thick lashes then you won’t require frequent fills (every 3 to 3 and a half weeks).  If your lashes are very fine and thin you may need to come in more frequently (every 2 to 2 and a  half weeks). The lash extensions will fall out when your natural ones do, your natural lashes shed every 21-28 days.

Are lash extensions for me?

If you have any of the following conditions, lash extensions are NOT for you:

Allergies to acrylates, thyroid problems, alopecia, chemo treatments within the past 6 months to a year, styes on eyes, cysts on eyes, cataracts, recent eye surgery, blehparitis, glaucoma, dry eye syndrome.

What type of lash extensions do we use?

We use real mink or natural synthetic mink lashes depending on which type of lash you choose to have applied. Real mink lashes are made from mink fur.A mink is a semi aquatic animal from the weasel family.

Do you have different lengths, or are all the lashes one size?

We have many different thicknesses, curls and lengths. The lashes range from 8mm to 15mm long. We have .07 to .15 thickness for lashes, .07 is used for Russian volumes lashes and .15 lashes are used for classic lashes. We have both c and d curls. C curls are very natural and will look just like your natural lashes. D curl lashes are a little  more of a dramatic curl and will look like you used an eyelash curler on your lashes.

Does it hurt?

No not at all. You won’t feel anything while the lashes are being applied, most clients fall asleep since the process is so relaxing!

If I have sensitive eyes can I still have lash extensions applied?

Yes! We have a glue that is just for sensitive eyes. The only downside is that you will need to get more frequent fills since the sensitive glue only lasts up to 3 weeks while the normal glue lasts up to 6 weeks.

How often do I need to have a fill, how do fills work?

Fills are done every two to four weeks or whenever you feel like you need one! Your lashes will fall out at their own rate everyone is different, some people will need fills every 2 weeks while some can go 5 weeks without needing one. The usual fill is every 3 weeks. For a fill, any lashes that are twisted or grown out will be removed and all of the gaps will be filled in to make them look new again. Fills take anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes to be applied.

How long does it take to have a full set done?

Full sets take anywhere from one to two hours to be applied. The average time for a full set is an hour and a half.

Do I need to do anything prior to my lash appointment?

Please make sure that all eye make up has be removed with an oil free make up remover, this will give us more time to work on your full set of lashes instead of spending time cleaning your lashes.

How do I remove my dash extensions?

The safest way to have your extensions removed is to schedule an appointment and have them taken off by a professional. A special remover solution will be used, the solution is left on for 5 minutes then the extensions slide right off causing no damage to your natural lashes. If you try to remove them yourself you may pull out your own lashes which can cause permanent damage. If you have very few extensions that need to be removed, soak them in oil ( coconut or grapes oil works best) for 10 minutes then slide off the extensions, repeat this process until extensions are removed.
